Arezzo, the famous City of Gold, has always been one of the most famous and important goldsmith districts in the world. Full of history, but also of art such as the Cathedral of Arezzo, a sixteenth-century masterpiece by the French master De Marcillat and then the “ al Prato ” garden that connects the cathedral with the Medici Fortress from where you can embrace the whole city from above. It is possible to visit the Casa di Vasari , where the great artist lived during his Arezzo years. Not only that, Arezzo is also the birthplace of Francesco Petrarca, the modern poet, whose house you can visit.




Hinterland villages
