UNESCO is funding a study project for the recovery of Buriano Bridge, the famous Romanesque bridge which is the background of  Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci.

Young students of architecture of the main European universities will stay in our hotel and, under the guidance of Prof. Massimo Ricci from Florence, will execute the necessary measurements to study the structure and potential interventions to keep active this historic monument.

Prof. Massimo Ricci, a member of the board of UNESCO, is known worldwide for having discovered the secret of the architecture of Brunelleschi’s Dome in Florence, the construction with  the largest brick dome in the world.

He began his career working on the design, building restoration and consolidation of the devices and monuments;
today he follows the technology of ancient architecture applied to the restoration and preservation of monuments.
